Many chess players, especially those from the Boston area (and beyond) - such as George Mirijanian , Rob Roy, Al Lawrence, Dan Lucas - and many other mutual friends, will remember chess organizer, TD & NM Bill Robertie who has rocked the backgammon world over the years since giving up active chess prior to 1990. A tribute to the inaugural cohort of American Backgammon Hall of Fame honorees in the national federation magazine with USBGF Historian Robert Stoller’s interview of two-time world champion Bill Robertie featured on the cover. "Bill is a gifted and prolific author, publisher, and promoter/director whose books have taught innumerable players both the basics and finer points of the game."
